The revival process — in full detail
This is the full journey for a jewelry redesign. Custom design and engagement consultations follow a similar flow, with some steps tailored to your specific project.

01. WE MEET AND DISCUSS
Everything starts with a conversation. Youʼll sit down with Carley — in person or via video call — and talk through what you have, what you want, and whatʼs possible. If itʼs a redesign, bring your piece (or photos of it). If itʼs custom or engagement, bring your inspiration, your questions, and your budget range. No sales pitch — just a real conversation about your vision.
Available in-person or via video call
Typically 30 minutes
Completely free — no commitment required
Bring inspiration photos, existing pieces, or just your questions
02. CARLEY RECEIVES THE PIECE
For redesigns and revivals, youʼll hand off your piece to Carley. Sheʼll document everything — photos, measurements, and a detailed assessment of what you have — so thereʼs a complete record before any work begins.
Full photo documentation of your piece as-is.
Assessment of existing stones, metals, and materials.
Discussion of what can be reused and whatʼs possible.
For custom design and engagement clients, this step is replaced by the research and sourcing phase.

03. BREAKDOWN & STONES RETRIEVAL
Your piece goes to Carleyʼs trusted bench jeweler for professional breakdown. Stones are carefully extracted and evaluated. Metals are separated and assessed. Everything is handled with care, and youʼll know exactly what was recovered.

Full transparency on what was recovered
04. GOLD BUYBACK (IF APPLICABLE)
If your redesign involves selling the original gold, Carley handles it — and she doesnʼt take a percentage. The cash value of your gold goes directly toward your new piece, keeping your investment working for you.
Carley sells the original gold at fair market value
No commission or percentage taken on gold sales when proceeds go toward your new piece
Full transparency on gold valuation and sale price
Cash value applied directly to your new design

05. CAD & WAX MODELS
This is where your new design starts to take physical shape. Using computer aided design CAD, Carley and her bench jeweler create a detailed 3D model of your new piece. A wax model is then produced so you can see and feel the design before itʼs cast in metal.

06. YOUR PIECE IS MADE
Once youʼve approved the wax model, your piece goes into production. The bench jeweler casts, sets stones, polishes, and finishes your piece to exact specifications. Carley oversees the process and keeps you updated.
